Dallas Zoo comes to Bear Creek

The Dallas Zoo came to Bear Creek today.

They brought many many animals and had a lot of really great information to teach the students.

Here the students are learning about owls.

 They loved the porcupine named Nigel.

 And ofcourse no zoo program would be complete without a boa.

Julia Reading to Class

Julia came to read to our class today.

I know I am such a proud grandma.

I love how my class this year has bonded with her.

They are all so sweet to her and

she loves spending time with them.

This week was Spirit Week.

 

Monday we wore School Shirts

 Tuesday was crazy hat day.

 Wednesday was Sport Shirt Day.

 Thursday was Mixmatch Day.

Friday was Hawaiian Day.

Very Busy Children

We are talking about migration in science.

The students researched different animals that migrate.

After researching they made a presentation on the ipads.

Building a Playground

This week we concluded our geometry unit

with a 2D / 3D Playground Project.

The students created a playground using 2D and 3D shapes.

After their project was completed the made a

presentation on their ipad.

They came out so cute.
