Friends

Today was Friendship Day.

We started out by cutting out a big heart and
tapping it to each students backs.
Then after brainstorming many uplifting words,
we wrote about our friends on their backs.

Here is what the heart looked like.

We read books about Friendship.
My favorite was Stephen Kelloggs "Best Friends."

Then finally we drew names and wrote about our friends.

Radishes from the Garden

We never made it out to the garden last week
because we had so much rain.
Then today during recess Ms. Burch took some students over and found these great looking radishes ready to pick.
Isn't this so fun.  We grew these from seeds.  LOVE IT!!!

Happy Birthday Luke!!!!!

Dallas Zoo comes to Bear Creek

The Dallas Zoo came to Bear Creek today.
They brought many many animals and had a lot of really great information to teach the students.

Here the students are learning about owls.
They loved the porcupine named Nigel.
And ofcourse no zoo program would be complete without a boa.
